Rev. Beth Cademartori
(650) 697-8300 x11
Pastor Beth is a life long United Methodist and is passionate about finding authentic ways to live theologically in our contemporary context.  She loves learning, and loves getting others excited about whatever she's been reading up on most recently.  She's a huge fan of John Wesley and our heritage as United Methodists.  One of bits of the Wesleyan way that she finds particularly compelling is the commitment to holding in tandem personal piety with social holiness; John Wesley said, "there is no holiness, except social holiness."  In other words, we are called by our faith to be engaged in our world and working for justice.  Pastor Beth tries to live into this in all that she does and seeks to encourage and equip people as they find ways to answer this call in their own lives and in their own ways.
Pastor Beth grew up in the Bay Area.  She was born in San Francisco and spent much of her childhood in San Mateo.  After graduating from San Mateo High School, she attended Ohio Wesleyan University where she double majored in Astrophysics and Pre-Theology.  She was an Individual Volunteer in Mission with the UMC in the Kingdom of Tonga for 2.5 years.  While serving as a missionary, she taught maths and science at Queen Salote College, a secondary school for girls.  After returning to the United States, Pastor Beth answered the call to pastoral ministry as a vocation, and went to Boston University where she earned her MDiv.  She is in the final stages of her process to be ordained as an Elder in the California-Nevada Annual Conference.
And now for a few fun facts:  Pastor Beth has a goofy dog named Lykke who you might get to see if you stop by the office.  She's a church dog!  Pastor Beth loves ice cream.  Her favorite places to be are by the ocean or in the redwoods.  She plays multiple instruments, is a hobby photographer, likes to crochet, and tries to stay up to date on sciency things.  She's an introvert with a goofy sense of humor.
